Reign and Jonathan form an uneasy alliance. The city will never be the same.
**FADE IN:**

**INT. PENTHOUSE - NIGHT**

Reign and Jonathan face off. The air crackles with tension. No weapons. Just years of secrets and betrayals between them.

JONATHAN
Everything we built, it was supposed to be ours. But it was always yours, wasn’t it? I was just the face.

REIGN
You were the heart, Jon. I was the fist. You were never strong enough to be both.

JONATHAN
Strong enough? I wanted out! I wanted a life with you! But you couldn’t let it go.

REIGN
Because there is no ‘out’! There are only wolves and sheep. And you were content to be a well-fed sheep.

Suddenly, Jonathan’s anger deflates, replaced by a chilling fear.

JONATHAN
I didn’t bug you to expose you, Reign. I did it to protect you. I found something. Someone. A threat that’s been watching us for years. Someone even you don’t know about.

Before Reign can process this, the sleek, silent headlights of a black SUV with government plates illuminate the penthouse window. The vehicle pulls to a stop on the street below.

The back window rolls down, revealing a shadowy figure inside.

Jonathan looks at Reign, his face pale with terror.

JONATHAN (CONT'D)
It’s them.

**SMASH CUT TO BLACK.**
