**EXT. ART GALLERY - DAY**

Det. Vance, now in a cheap suit, his career in ruins, stands across the street from Reign’s gallery. He watches the wealthy patrons come and go, his face a mask of bitter resentment.

He spends weeks digging, looking for any thread to pull, any hint of dirt. He finds it.

**INT. VANCE’S APARTMENT - NIGHT**

Vance is on his laptop, cross-referencing the gallery’s collection with stolen art databases. He gets a hit. A small, abstract sculpture in Reign’s gallery was reported stolen from a private collection a year ago.

The original owner: a known rival of Damien’s.

Vance smiles. It’s thin. It’s circumstantial. But it’s a way in.

**INT. ART GALLERY - DAY**

Vance, holding up his old, tarnished badge, walks into the gallery.

VANCE
I have a warrant to seize a stolen piece of art.

Reign faces him, her expression unbothered. But inside, her mind is racing. How did he find that?

**SMASH CUT TO BLACK.**
