**INT. ART GALLERY - DAY**

Vance’s uniformed backup is carefully placing the sculpture into an evidence bag. Vance is enjoying every second of it.

VANCE
It’s a shame. Really ties the room together.

REIGN
There must be a mistake, Detective.

She slides a file across the table. It contains flawless paperwork for the sculpture: a bill of sale, a certificate of authenticity, a clear chain of ownership from a reputable European dealer.

Vance looks at the paperwork. It’s too perfect. It’s too clean.

REIGN (CONT’D)
As you can see, everything is in order.

He knows the documents are forgeries, but he can’t prove it. He’s about to concede defeat when he looks closer at the bill of sale. He looks at the signature of the seller.

VANCE
(a slow smile)
Funny. The guy who sold you this? Anton Dubois? He died last week. Car accident.

Reign’s poker face doesn’t slip, but a chill runs down her spine. That’s impossible. Her forger is the best in the world.
