The Debt

Reign must pay off a dangerous debt or lose everything. She chooses a third option.
**FADE IN:**

**INT. HIGH-RISE PENTHOUSE - NIGHT**

SWAT OFFICERS swarm the penthouse. Meech is disarmed and slammed against a wall. Reign watches, cold and detached, as Jonathan is guided away by a uniformed officer.

In the chaos, two PARAMEDICS move toward Meech. They check him for injuries, their movements professional and efficient.

PARAMEDIC 1
We need to get him out of here. Possible concussion.

The SWAT captain nods. The paramedics lift a struggling Meech onto a gurney and wheel him out.

**INT. AMBULANCE - CONTINUOUS**

The doors slam shut. The siren wails. One of the paramedics injects a sedative into Meech’s arm. He goes limp.

PARAMEDIC 2
(into radio)
Package is secure.

**INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - LATER**

Meech wakes up, strapped to a chair. Reign sits opposite him, a laptop open.

REIGN
Welcome back.

She plays a video. It’s Meech, two years ago, secretly meeting with a rival crew, plotting to undermine Jonathan.

REIGN (CONT'D)
I’ve been watching you from the beginning. Every deal. Every betrayal.

Meech stares, horrified. He’s been a puppet for years.

REIGN (CONT'D)
I can give the full murder file to the D.A. right now. Or... you can give me something.

She leans forward, her eyes like ice.

REIGN (CONT'D)
I want the list. Every person you’ve been working with behind Jonathan’s back. Every dirty cop, every supplier. Everything.

Meech looks at her, defeated, a cornered animal.

**SMASH CUT TO BLACK.**
