**FADE IN:** **INT. REIGN’S OFFICE - DAY** Reign is watching the news. Sarah has broken the city hall corruption story. The city is in chaos. The gallery is safe. Suddenly, her screens all go black. One by one, they flash back on, displaying a single, chilling logo: a stylized phoenix. Damien’s logo. **INT. PORT AUTHORITY OFFICE - DAY** Damien, in a sharp suit, sits in the director’s chair of the city’s port authority. He has been released, all charges dropped. He is now the CEO of the private corporation that owns the port. He controls everything coming in and out of the city. **INT. REIGN’S OFFICE / JONATHAN’S OFFICE - SPLIT SCREEN** Both Reign and Jonathan get a video call. It’s Damien. DAMIEN I’ve been watching your little civil war. It’s been... amusing. But the games are over. He makes a call. At the port, one of Reign’s shipments is seized. In the city, one of Jonathan’s construction sites is shut down. DAMIEN (CONT’D) Your assets are frozen. Your operations are crippled. The civil war is over. Because I’ve bought the country. Now, you both work for me. Reign and Jonathan stare at the screen, their private war rendered meaningless in the face of a common, all-powerful enemy. **SMASH CUT TO BLACK.** **ON SCREEN TEXT: THERE’S A NEW GOD IN TOWN.
