**FADE IN:**

**INT. REIGN’S COMMAND CENTER - NIGHT**

Reign stands before a digital whiteboard, mapping out two scenarios.

**Scenario A: Ally with Damien.**
- **PRO:** Access to his global network. Unrivaled power.
- **CON:** He’s a monster who will discard her when she’s no longer useful.

**Scenario B: Ally with Anna.**
- **PRO:** Get the kill switch. True freedom.
- **CON:** Anna is a ghost, a lone wolf. She’s unstable and driven by pure revenge.

Jonathan enters the room.

JONATHAN
It’s not a choice. Anna is the only way out. She’s the only one who can get us free from Damien.

REIGN
Free? Anna would burn this city to the ground to get her revenge. She’d kill thousands. She’s just as bad as he is.

JONATHAN
So what’s your plan? Stay under his thumb forever?

REIGN
No.

She erases the board and draws a new diagram. A triangle, with Damien and Anna at the base, and a crown at the top.

REIGN (CONT’D)
I’m not choosing a side. I’m choosing the board. I’ll make them fight each other, and when the dust settles, I’ll be the one left standing to take the prize.

Jonathan looks at her, a chill running down his spine. He’s seeing the architect at work, and it terrifies and fascinates him.
