The Betrayal

Jonathan betrays Reign to Damien. The queen is checkmated.
**FADE IN:**

**EXT. SHIPPING YARD - NIGHT**

The night of the confrontation. Rain pours down. Anna’s team is moving into position. Damien’s team is lying in wait.

Reign is in a nearby van, watching it all on her monitors, a conductor orchestrating her masterpiece.

She tries to raise Jonathan on the comms. He’s supposed to be her eyes in the sky, providing drone overwatch.

REIGN
Jonathan, what’s your status? I have no eyes.

Silence.

**INT. DAMIEN’S COMMAND VEHICLE - CONTINUOUS**

Jonathan stands next to Damien.

JONATHAN
She’s blind. She doesn’t know you’re here. And she doesn’t know her offshore teams are about to be neutralized.

Damien looks at Jonathan with a newfound respect.

DAMIEN
You betrayed her. I’m impressed.

JONATHAN
She became a monster. I’m just putting it down.

Damien smiles, a chilling, predatory expression.

DAMIEN (CONT’D)
No. You’re not. I am.

He picks up a phone and calls Reign.

**INT. REIGN’S VAN - CONTINUOUS**

Reign answers the call. It’s Damien.

DAMIEN (V.O.)
I have to hand it to you. It was a beautiful plan. But you have a traitor in your house. And now, he’s mine.

Reign’s blood runs cold. She looks at her monitors. Anna’s team is walking into the trap. But Damien’s team isn’t springing it. They are surrounding *her* position.

**SMASH CUT TO BLACK.**
