Reign is a prisoner in her own penthouse. She begins to work.
**FADE IN:**

**INT. PENTHOUSE - DAY**

Reign is a prisoner in her own gilded cage. The penthouse is now her jail. Jonathan has placed guards, cut off her communications. He flaunts his new power, enjoying his victory, trying to break her.

JONATHAN
It’s better this way, Reign. No more stress. No more blood. Just you and me.

Reign feigns despair, playing the part of the broken queen. But her mind is always working. Always plotting.

She begins to subtly manipulate her guards. She learns their names, their families, their vices. One guard, a young man named KEVIN, is drowning in gambling debt.

**INT. PENTHOUSE - NIGHT**

REIGN
(a whisper to Kevin)
I know you’re in trouble. I can help you. A single wire transfer. Enough to clear your debts and start over. All I need is one message sent.

Kevin is terrified, but tempted. He knows Jonathan will kill him if he’s caught. But Reign’s offer is a lifeline.

He finally agrees. Reign gives him a simple string of numbers.
