**INT. UPSCALE BAR - NIGHT**

Reign and Chloe are laughing, sharing a bottle of expensive champagne. To any observer, they look like the best of friends.

CHLOE
I’m so glad we could do this. It’s been… tense. With Jonathan.

REIGN
(confiding)
Tell me about it. Especially with this new shipment coming in. He’s on edge.

Chloe’s eyes light up with interest. She leans in, conspiratorial.

CHLOE
Shipment?

REIGN
(feigning a slip-up)
I shouldn’t have said that. It’s a big one. Top-grade product. He’s moving it through the old port district tomorrow night. Berth 9.

Chloe tries to hide her excitement. She subtly sends a text under the table.

**INT. MEECH'S HIDEOUT - CONTINUOUS**

Meech reads the text from Chloe. A greedy smile spreads across his face. He immediately calls a rival crew leader, REX.

MEECH
(into phone)
I’ve got a gift for you. Jonathan’s biggest shipment of the year. Berth 9. Tomorrow night. It’s all yours.

**INT. NEWS STUDIO - THE NEXT NIGHT**

A news report plays on a monitor. It shows the aftermath of a bloody shootout at the port district.

NEWS ANCHOR
…a violent confrontation between two of the city’s most notorious gangs, leaving multiple dead…

**INT. PENTHOUSE - CONTINUOUS**

Chloe watches the report, her face pale with horror. Reign stands by the window, sipping a glass of wine, looking down at the city below, completely unfazed.

REIGN
Such a tragedy.
